Italian Cake


  • 3 eggs
  • 300 grams of castor sugar
  • 300 grams of self-raising flour
  • 150 grams of butter
  • 180 ml of milk


  • Pre-heat your oven to 180 °C (160°C fan).
  • Melt the butter.
  • In a large bowl or food processor beat together the eggs and sugar.
  • Add to the flour, melted butter and milk to the egg and sugar mixture.
  • Mix together well.
  •  Pour the cake mixture into your cake tin and bake for about 30 minutes (see note re times below).
